According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen has told the crew of his sitcom, Two and a Half Men, that he'll pay a portion of their salaries while the show is on hiatus during his time in "rehab" ... if CBS and Warner Bros. will pay the remaining portion.

Sheen is supposed to be returning to work next week to finish off the season, but a CBS exec told TMZ that no one is coming back to work on Monday.  Maybe, if Sheen is ready, filming will resume at the end of the month.  The exec also said that no one had asked them to pay a portion of the crew's salaries during the downtime.

As for Warner Bros., they won't comment on the salary issue, instead saying that they "sincerely hope that Charlie's rehab is going well. We hope that he is healthy in the very near future and we look forward to the return of production of  Two and a Half Men."

Sheen earns nearly $2 million per episode.
