First Texas McDonald's Spin-Off Beverage Concepts Open

If you are a big fan of McDonald's breakfast and drink options, you have new places to get your fix. To innovate and compete against Starbucks, McDonald's has entered the drink business.

The CosMc's brand is based on an 80's robot character in the brand's lore named CosMc. This would be like making a concept restaurant called Grimace that only serves purple food.

The six-handed robot fits in perfectly with the space theme and the dark blue and yellow colors. According to themirror.com four Texas locations have opened in Arlington, Dallas, Watauga, and San Antonio.

CosMc's Is Now Open For Business In Texas

In a press release, McDonald's explains the grand opening this weekend in San Antonio that coincides with tax-free back-to-school shopping in the state.

"The extraterrestrial experience will continue August 10-11 for the CosMc's San Antonio official grand opening from 10 am - 4 pm where fans will have the opportunity to try free samples of menu items and receive exclusive merch for the first 100 customers each day."

There are many new drink offerings to choose from, including their "Signature Galactic Boosts":

Sour Cherry Energy Burst
Berry Hibiscus Sour-ade
Blueberry Ginger Boost
Island Pick-Me-Up Punch
Beach Protein Frappe

They offer "Stellar Sips" like the Sprite Moonspalsh, Tropical Spiceade, and more.

They have lots to choose from if you love something other than water. They also have all of the McDonald's soft serve and McFlurry options on board.

New Automated McDonalds in Ft Worth, Texas Gallery:

The fact is, this McDonalds is not "fully automated", they have a smaller staff working in the kitchen filling the orders, but the counter-person, all-to-often found with a bad attitude, has been eliminated in this dining concept. This new McDonalds is much smaller and has no seating for indoor dining. This is a take-out-only concept with all staff concentrating on getting the orders right. Will it work? We'll see.
