Dan’s Road Trips – Andretti Indoor Karting & Games
In these challenging times, it's hard to have fun the same way we used to. I was interested to see an entertainment venue that was open. Andretti Indoor Karting and Games seems to have all their locations open. They are strictly enforcing mask wearing in the photos I can see on their facebook, everyone is wearing them.
This would make an interesting day trip if you love racing. Named after a legend of racing, Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is the place for indoor cart racing with speeds up to 35mph. Their are three locations just here in Texas. North Texas at The Colony, San Antonio, and most recently in Katy.
Andretti Karting has near 90,000 square feet of indoor space for getting up to all kinds of things. There is a new state of the art arcade, zip line, laser tag, indoor putt-putt course and bowling. Real racing simulators, just like the pros use, will get you ready to hit the track
You won't have to leave till it's time to go home. They have a food truck themed food court with lots of food options. They are all pretty far away from here, but if you are in Lufkin the location in Katy seems closer to me, at 1230 Grand West Blvd Katy, TX 77449. They are open 12am - 12midnight daily, and till 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.
