East Texas Teacher & Partner Face Child Porn Charges

A Texas teacher along with her partner have been arrested in Angelina County on disturbing charges. According to Lufkin Daily News Hillary Danielle Williams, 33, of Lufkin was taken into custody Saturday.

She is a math teacher at Wells ISD for junior high and high school. She has been working at the district for a little over a year.

Her partner, Michael Scott McCary, 37, was also arrested. They are both being held at the Angelina County Jail.

Suspects Held On High Bonds In Angelina County Jail

Williams is facing charges of bestiality and possession with intent to promote child pornography. Her bond has been set at $350,000.

McCary is charged with possession of child porn, with his bond set at $250,000.

According to KETK Wells ISD Superintendent, Friday Wright, has been working with law enforcement and assisting in the investigation since being notified of the arrests over the weekend.

"The safety and security of our students at Wells ISD is our top priority." - Friday Wright.

He also said they are asking a retired math teacher to come in this week to teach the students.

No Details On Investigation Into Shocking Alleged Crimes

So far deputies with the Anglina County Sheriff's Office haven't released details of how Williams and McCary were caught. It is unclear if the charges are connected or discovered independently.

For now, they will both remain behind bars as the investigation continues.
