Another town in Deep East Texas has issued a stay at home order. The City of Hudson is asking everyone to stop the spread, and lower the curve. Residents have until Monday March 31st at 11:59pm to make arrangements.

The order will continue for the entire month of April, ending on April 30, 2020. If things change it could be lengthened, but they are trying to give parents and families a chance to plan for the future. Reducing exposure to Covid-19 is the goal of this order.

On March 24th Hudson extended the local disaster declaration for another 30 days, and now with coronavirus cases popping up in Angelina County, they are taking measures that are stricter than most of the area. The City of Lufkin is meeting  Monday March 30th and could change their guidelines to the public to something similar.

The city website has posted the Angelina County Coronavirus Call Center Number on their site as well. If you have flu like symptoms or believe you have been exposed to Covid-19 to call 936-630-8500.

For questions please call the City of Hudson office Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM at (936) 875-2358. You can also request a copy of the amended declaration. Robert Smith, the Mayor of Hudson, has included exceptions for many essential businesses. Contact them, and check out the websites for full details. #covid19
