7 Deep East Texas Softball Teams That Are State Ranked

Several Deep East Texas high school softball teams are ranked in the top 25 of various Texas Girls Coaches Association classifications. Here's a look at those teams.

Lufkin Lady Panthers

Lufkin is ranked 16th in Class 5A. On Tuesday, they edged past Whitehouse to improve their overall record to 20-3. They sit atop their district with a perfect 11-0 mark.

The Lady Pack is one of the hottest teams in Texas, reeling off 15 straight wins, including their recent win against the Lady Wildcats.

Livingston Lady Lions

Livingston is ranked #24 in Class 4A. They have a record of 22-7, and they are currently in second place in their district, which features 11th-ranked Liberty.

The Lady Lions look in great shape to make the playoffs for the second straight year.

Huntington Devilettes

The Devilettes are ranked #14 in Class 3A. They have an overall record of 21-2. Huntington is looking to repeat as district champs, and with a current conference record of 8-0, they look to be the odds-on favorite.

Timpson Lady Bears

Timpson is ranked #11 in Class 1A/2A. They have a record of 16-3 on the year.

Last year, the Lady Bears were Area Champs before bowing out in the 3rd round of the playoffs to district foe, Shelbyville.

Groveton Lady Indians

Groveton is ranked #19 in Class A/2A. In my humble opinion, I think the Lady Indians are easily a top 10 team. They are 20-4-1 on the year, they have reeled off 10 straight wins, and they have made deep runs into the playoffs for the past several years.

Watch out for Groveton again this year.

Joaquin Lady Rams

The Lady Rams are ranked #21 in Class A/2A. They have an overall record of 16-3.

Joaquin has really turned things around from last year. The Lady Rams edged into the playoffs last year as the 4th-place district team, but they look to be on pace for a 1st-place finish in 2025.

Corrigan-Camden Lady Bulldogs

The Lady Bulldogs are 15-3-1 on the year. They are ranked #16 in Class A/2A.

Corrigan hasn't seen a lot of success in softball since advancing to the playoffs in 2019, but they have got their groove going on in 2025. The Lady Bulldogs are a lock to make the playoffs this year.
