There have been three Chick-fil-A locations in Lufkin. There's the one on South Medford across from the mall. There's one on North John Redditt by ETech. And, even though it's been closed for a while now, there was one location inside the mall.

Will a New Chick-fil-A Replace a Current One?

A few months ago, several outlets, including the Coming Soon Texas Facebook page broke the news that there would be a new Chick-fil-A constructed in Lufkin, where the old El Chico restaurant used to be, before it was closed and demolished. The actual address is 2104 South First Street, and if the Coming Soon Texas page is correct, construction would start this summer.

I'm all for new business in Deep East Texas. I think that growth is awesome. But my question is this: Is this going to be an additional Chick-fil-A, or is this going to replace one of the current ones?

Right now, I think it's fair to say that it can be a bit difficult to get to the CFA location on South Medford, especially if you're just passing through Lufkin. You have to get off the loop, go out of your way to get to it, then go out of your way to get back onto the loop after getting your food. The location on John Redditt isn't quite as bad, and it's the newest location so I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.

But again, will this be a move to go back to three Chick-fil-A locations for Lufkin, or will this keep it at two? These are the questions that I have. If any of you have any insight, I'd love to hear it.
