Whether it’s a full scale Broadway production, television special, film release, or Community Theatre performance, the plot has remained the same since 1977, when the original ‘Annie‘ debuted to audiences with all the pomp and circumstance it was billed at.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this show some ten times in my lifetime, with each one awesome in its own right.  A huge supporter of local Community Theatre, this is one of the hidden treasures of seeing the show in a largely intimate setting, and now is your chance to join me in welcoming ‘Annie’ to Nacogdoches.

Lufkin’s Emily Rhoades, and Nac’s Shelby Toner, will alternate playing the lead.
