Lil Pump Dropped “Drug Addicts” From His 2019 Rolling Loud Los Angeles Set Out of Respect for Juice Wrld: Report
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday (Dec. 17), the Miami rapper removed his song "Drug Addicts" from his set at 2019 Rolling Loud Los Angeles. A source told the celebrity news outlet that Pump and his team left the song, which glorifies popping pills and taking other hard drugs, out of his set out of respect of the 21-year-old rapper's untimely passing.
"Drug Addicts" is a fan favorite from the 2018 XXL Freshman's Harverd Dropout album, which dropped earlier this year. If you recall, Pump recruited actor Charlie Sheen for the official music video, in which they both appear to be in a hospital surrounded by weed, pills and lean. Fans usually expect to hear the banger during his sets, however, his performance at Rolling Loud L.A. was different.
Instead of performing the song, Pump reportedly decided to honor the late Juice Wrld by playing Juice's hit "Lucid Dreams." In a video of his set, Pump can be seen encouraging the crowd to put their lighters up for Juice right before the beat drops.
The Miami rapper's tribute comes over a week after Juice Wrld passed away. The Deathrace for Love rapper suffered a seizure after reportedly swallowing multiple Percocet pills while police searched his luggage during a drug bust upon his incoming flight at Chicago's Midway International Airport. He was laid to rest earlier this week in Harvey, Ill.
XXL has reached out to Lil Pump's camp for comment.
