  • Items from former LHS Library
  • Desks, Chairs, Shelves
  • These items bring back memories

Just when you thought that there wasn't one stick of furniture left at the Lufkin Middle School, it's time for another sale. Summer is here and with it more construction on the already amazing new campus.

Hicks Estate Sales is at it again (third time?) offering these one-of-a-kind pieces of the former Lufkin High School and current Lufkin, Texas Middle School campus furniture.

Summer break is a perfect time to work on finishing up the ongoing construction. Now it seems that they have started clearing out the old library to continue demolition on the site.

Sale At LMS Coming June 16th & 17th 2023

If you ever spent any time in this library facility you will recognize all the built-in shelving, tables, chairs, and file cabinets. Many of these items could be repurposed and given a good home from the sale.

Card catalogs and any furniture that you can put a book on will be in high demand. Not just for the nostalgia attached, but also the utility of the pieces.

The sale will be at the Lufkin Middle School campus this weekend, June 16th and 17th 2023 at 900 East Denman Avenue. Get there early to get first dibs when the sale starts at 9 AM.

Sales will continue until 3 PM each day. You must use the new entrance to the school across from Kiwanis Park on Tulane Drive to get to the sale. Hopefully, they will finish the sign there this summer.

Take a look at some of the items that are for sale in the gallery below.
