Lufkin Residents Invited To Shape Future Of Lufkin Parks And Trails
Lufkin Parks and Recreation Department wants to hear from you. They've created a quick 10-minute survey to gather your ideas on how to improve Lufkin's parks, trails, and outdoor spaces.
Lufkin residents are occasionally surprised when new things come to our city spaces. Now we can have a say in how things will play out in our town.
Your input will have a major impact on the future of these areas for the next decade. I took the survey myself, and if you take your time with the questions, it might take 15-20 minutes or more.
Be A Part Of The Master Plan For Lufkin Parks
The survey is deeply personal and might open your mind to some needs in your area. They ask that you provide at least a cross street to get an idea of the area you are in.
If more people from your neighborhood feel the same way as you do about the future of the parks system, I would get this survey on your neighborhood's facebook page or next-door app.
The survey is available online now (CLICK HERE) and it covers a range of topics, like what kinds of improvements you'd like to see in the parks or what new spaces might be needed.
Don't Miss Out On Your Chance To Make Lufkins Parks And Trails In Your Image
The survey is part of a larger effort with the help of Kendig Keast Collaborative, a planning group that specializes in creating parks and recreational spaces that work for the community.
"We want to make sure our parks and trails are not only beautiful and accessible but also meet the needs of all Lufkin residents," said Lufkin Parks & Recreation Director Buddy Timme. "Your input will play a key role in guiding the future of our community’s outdoor spaces, and we encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their thoughts with us."
