Lufkin Police Want Your Help Identifying These Goodwill Thieves
- Goodwill Donation Theft
- Lufkin Police Are Looking For Tips
- This Is An Ongoing Investigation
You could find a steal of a deal at Goodwill or The Family Crisis Center of East Texas Thrift Store. Just don't actually steal from them.
Even though this may seem like a victimless crime, these entities are here doing a service in our community using the funds collected from selling these donated items to further their causes.
According to the Lufkin Police Department, officials at the Lufkin Goodwill have contacted them multiple times over the past few weeks to report repeated thefts by the same people.
Once items have been donated, these items are considered property of the business taking the donations. Taking something that is not yours is stealing, even if the items have been donated.
