Lufkin Police Respond To Cow Head

It's not everyday that you find a random body part of a farm animal just plopped down on the road. But today is not everyday. Officer Andrew Lewis put on his gloves and got the job done. These are the strange things that our local police deal with on a daily basis. Things you would never think of in a million years. Thanks to Carlie McHenry for the picture, she was quick with the camera, and for that we thank her!

There have been reports of an animal waste spill today in Houston. They got about 300lbs of  slaughtered cattle remains on Highway 59. But that was earlier this morning. I wonder if it is the same truck, or trucks. It certainly wasn't fresh, and people reported a foul odor in the area.

I don't want to get ahead of myself with all the puns. I have a heady feeling while I am writing this. I am just glad that officers that responded were head of their class. So before you head out, make sure you watch the roads. If you have a good head on your shoulders you might be quick with the camera like Carlie, and I will write a story about a picture you took.
