That last charge and the $1 million bond that goes with it belongs to Anfernee Durham, 25 of Lufkin, Texas. He was arrested at his home without incident on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, according to Jessica Pebsworth, communications director for the City of Lufkin.

Durham's case dates back to October 2023 and the death of his 4-month-old son Kylo. Kylo died in a Houston hospital three days after being transferred from a Lufkin Hospital.

A Harris County medical examiner ruled Kylo's death a homicide after an autopsy revealed the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head and torso.
