22 Felony Arrests In Angelina County May 12 – 18

This week was full of arrests that involved sexual crimes or issues affecting children. Antowine McClendon, 20, was originally arrested in 2023 for the charge of luring 13-year-olds into inappropriate contact.

According to the Lufkin Daily News, he was charged with online solicitation of a minor. According to the arrest affidavit, he tried to encourage a 13-year-old girl to meet him in person for sexual contact.

Now he is back behind bars for failure to comply with sex offender requirements, a third-degree felony.

Woman Behind Bars After Child Tests Positive For THC

Brianna Rene Lawrence, 19, is still in the Angelina County Jail with a 20K bond. She was arrested for non-intentionally letting a two-year-old boy have access to or be affected by THC products in her possession.

She was among the women who brought the child to the hospital in Lufkin. He later had to be transferred to the Pediatric ICU at Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands.

19-Year-Old Hudson Man In Jail For Sexual Assault Of A Child

Caleb Nelson Evans, 19, is in jail for possession of child pornography, sexual assault of a child, sexual performance child, and indecency with a child through sexual contact.

He got a $7,500 bond for each of the four charges, for a collective bond of $30,000.
