Nacogdoches Jaycees Haunted Drive-In Movie

When real life is scarier than a haunted house, and there is a virus about, you change direction. The Nacogdoches Jaycees have done just that. They have something planned for us that's a bit more safe, but just as spooky for Halloween this year.

On October 30th and 31st they will be presenting a double feature of scary movies drive in style. They are touting it as the Nacogdoches Jaycees Haunted Drive-In Movie. Movies start at 7pm in the Nacogdoches Expo Center Parking Lot.

The first movie at 7pm has yet to be determined, but it will be family and kid friendly and rated PG13. The second movie starts at 10pm both nights, and it will only be for the bravest of souls. They are showing the movie IT. Based on the 1986 Stephen King novel of the same name.

Due to the limited number of tickets to keep everyone spaced out, these will sell out quickly. They went on sale last night at 8pm, so if you are lucky you might get some. CLICK HERE to reserve your space, and make some memories with your family.

The one thing that has suffered since the pandemic is group fundraisers. For some reason fundraising has always been linked to time consuming, man power heavy, events. The best organizations are going to pivot in this confusing time. I'm proud of the Nacogdoches Jaycees making a change this year away from a haunted house, and changing over to a drive in movie. I think they will still have a great event.
