
Nacogdoches Excited About New Grocery Store
When one door closes another opens. That is the case with the Big Lots store in Nacogdoches.
They have closed for good, and now another business has successfully bid on the lease for the property in the Nacogdoches Marketplace II shopping center across from Walmart.

According to The Lufkin Daily News discount grocery retailer Aldi is moving into the spot at 4919 North St. Suite 101. Not only does this mean more places to get groceries, but it also means adding around 50 jobs in the area.
Aldi Expanding Into Nacogdoches Area
It's understandable if you don't know what the hype about Aldi is all about. The discount retailer's closest grocery store is in Tyler over an hour's drive away.
Aldi started in Germany over a hundred years ago. According to Business Insider, Aldi came to America in 1976 when their first store opened in Iowa.

With everyone feeling the pinch of high-priced groceries, Aldi's will make a difference for many family budgets in the area. Many of the low-priced products in their stores are their in-house brands.
They take pride in being at least as good as the name brand. They also have a double return policy.

When Is Aldi Opening In Nacogdoches?
Things could move quickly with this new store, but it will be months before we shop for discount groceries there. Nacogdoches also just got word they are getting Layne's Chicken Fingers, but still, no details yet on the elusive HEB we all crave.
