Father & Grandmother Arrested In Nacogdoches
Buying THC Gummies is one of the easiest ways to have drugs end up in the hands of children. They look too much like candy for kids to resist, and if you have kids, you just can't have them around.
According to KLTV, Nacogdoches Police arrested a father and a grandmother after a three-year-old was hospitalized after ingesting THC gummies. Jennifer Elaine Sanders, 40, and Zackery Cole Putman, 22, both of Nacogdoches, have been charged with endangering a child.
Sanders has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance. According to Nacogdoches Police Lt. Brett Ayers the accused were the father and the grandmother of the child.
Police responded to a call on Aug 9th involving a child having a medical emergency. The child was taken to the hospital.
Investigation Reveals THC In The Child's System
An investigation into what caused the child to need treatment led to the discovery of THC gummies, which led to the arrest. THC gummies are usually between 10 - 30 mg of THC each.
If a child were to get them and eat them like candy, they could macrodose themselves very quickly. Other forms of marijuana aren't as palatable and don't lead to as many issues with overdoses in children and adults.

Gummies also take up to 4 hours to realize their full effects. Though you may feel something as early as 30 minutes, because of this, it is much easier to overdose as an adult, much less a child.
