Remember a few months ago when you couldn't find hand sanitizer on the shelves of any stores? If you found any, it was practically a miracle. When things started calming down a bit, and it wasn't a surprise to find hand sanitizer on the shelves, we bought a bottle. This particular bottle was from one of our local Kroger locations. This is what it looks like:

Now, we haven't opened that bottle. We just haven't needed it yet. And, it's a good thing we didn't. When checking out at Kroger this past weekend, a message flashed across the self-checkout screen, telling us to read an important recall notice at the bottom of our receipt. This is that message:

TSM Lufkin - Mark Cunningham

Now, we knew that we had bought that brand of "NEXT" hand sanitizer, so when we arrived at home, we got the bottle out, looking for the UPC that matched the one above - 0065024005357. This is what we saw:

It matched, perfectly.

So, I say all that to tell you this: If you have purchased hand sanitizer that matches the pictures and UPC code of this bottle - I don't know if it's sold in stores other than Kroger, that's just where we purchased it - you will need to return it. Make sure that you do not use it. As you can see from the recall notice above, it may contain Methanol, which can be toxic if absorbed or ingested.

Check the bottle, and if you still have it, return it.
