Marshall Charloff and his all-star band, The Purple Xperience, are coming to Lufkin with all things Prince on their minds. If you are a fan of the man that was once only known by a symbol, then this is for you.

I have seen many "tribute" bands over the years, and I know a good one when I see them. Marshall Charloff is the closest thing we have to Prince, since his royal badness passed away.

Marshall actually recorded with Prince on the album 94 East. He played bass and keyboards on the album.

Marshall Charloff Sounds Just Like Prince

On stage Marshall is Prince. His appearance, style, and vocal imitation are spot-on. His amazing ability to play guitar and piano really brings it home.

The Purple Xperience is a five-piece group from Prince's birthplace of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have shared a bill with The Time, Cameo, and others since their inception in 2011.

Their lead guitarist, Tracy Blake, and keyboardist, Cory Eischen, both played with the New Power Generation. Bass player, Ron Long, has held down the bottom end for the likes of Christina Aguilera, The Backstreet Boys, and has recorded with Cameo. Ron Caron on drums played with the Rembrandts.

Get Tickets To The Purple Xperience Coming To The Pines Theather

These are all top players coming together to give us an experience as close to seeing Prince live as we will ever get today. I'm amazed we have talent of this caliber coming to town.

The Purple Xperience will be at the Pines Theater on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 7 PM. Tickets to the show start at $42 and go up to $52.

They have already sold out the front row and most of the middle of the theater. Get in on this quickly if you want tickets.

The Angelina Arts Alliance really is bringing some great shows to Lufkin, and we are so grateful. After the show in Lufkin, Marshall and The Purple Xperience will head to Busch Gardens for a concert series in Tampa, Florida.

Nelly's Former Abandoned Mansion

The musician bought this home with the plan to flip it for profit but things didn't work out that way.
