Road Work Updates for Shelby County, Lufkin, and Zavalla

Work crews with the Texas Department of Transportation continue to be busy during this hot Summer weather.

If you have travel plans in Shelby County over the next several days, be on the lookout for crews seal coating on Highway 59 from Highway 87 near Timpson to the Rusk County line near the Attoyac River.  This is a mobile work zone so motorists are urged to reduce speed and obey all traffic control. Be prepared for alternating lane closures as this work progresses.

Also, around Zavalla watch out for lane closures on Highway 63 as construction continues there.  Plus, on Highway 103 West at the A&NR Railroad Bridge near Highway 69 North, be on the lookout for work going on that will require one lane to be closed in both directions.
