Splashadoches Grand Opening Coming Soon

Though it has been an unseasonably cool April, we are seeing hints of warmer days on the horizon in the Pineywoods. Here in Deep East Texas we cool off in many ways. In Nacogdoches they will soon be celebrating a great new way to chill out, the grand opening of their new Splash Pad, Splashadoches.

The Parks Advocacy League in Nacogdoches has undertaken a huge reimagining of Maroney Park. They have added what will be a cool reprieve from the heat. Splashadoches at Maroney Park will have it's grand opening on Friday May 21st from 5pm to 8pm at 1912 Maroney Dr, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

To celebrate the grand opening they are having a party. The main attraction, the splash pad, will be operational for the first time. There will be grilled foods, snow cones, and cookies. They will also be planning some special actives while you are there.

Splashadoches is a free public splash pad, and this is the perfect free fun event to kick off the 2021 splash pad season. We finally have a date, and you can stop by during the event to celebrate with Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation.

Splashpads are big in this part of the country. It's a great way to cool off, and something to do with the kids. It's safer than a public pool, and requires less maintenance. The upkeep and long term costs are low. That's a good thing, and this splash pad will be in Nacogdoches to serve the residents for years to come. You will be proud of this new addition to the city.
