If you're planning on catching the food and fun, you have three days left to do it at the 29th annual Texas State Forest Festival in Lufkin.

The festival got underway Wednesday and continues through Sunday.

Today there events for the kids including the Show Me Safari Petting Zoo, and pony rides too.  And they can get their picture taken with one of the ZOOperstar characters milling around the festival.

Or if you're feeling like some friend pickles or a funnel cake, this is your spot!  No counting calories this weekend.  We've got the entire menu of delicious fried foods and munchies right here.

Sals & Sams - Gyros, flat-grilled hot dogs and pork with slaw.
Café Del Rio - Tacos, quesadillas and other Mexican food.
Texas Custom Catering - Grilled meats.
Zens Market - Stuffed peppers, quesadillas and Philly cheesesteak hoagies.
Horse Creek Concessions - Fried rice, egg rolls, jalapeno sausages and meatballs on a stick.
Wild West Soda - Rootbeer, orange cream, chocolate black cherry and lemon drop.
GM Chuckwagon - Baked potatoes, chip beef sandwiches and banana pudding.
Treats Gourmet Eats- Gourmet popcorn, soft pretzels and chocolate-dipped treats.

The festival runs through Sunday at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center on Ellen Trout Drive in Lufkin.

The carnival is there too!  They've got a roller coaster, ferris wheel, bumper cars, giant slide and more.

Saturday: 9:00am - 10:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm
