Tornado, Flash Flood Watches Issued for the Pineywoods

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Tornado Watch effective until 5 pm for Angelina, Nacogdoches, and all surrounding counties in Deep East Texas.

Conditions today are favorable for the development of severe storms in the area.  This includes the possibility of tornadoes, golf ball sized hail, and winds gusting to 75 mph.

1-3 inches of rain could fall in the Pineywoods and that has prompted the issuance of a Flash Flood Watch for the area until early Thursday morning.
