July 4th is coming up on a Sunday, and here in Deep East Texas, you've got two big displays on different days so you don't have to choose which fireworks to watch.

If you're in Nacogdoches, you can take advantage of the Freedom Fest downtown in Festival Park, It's pretty much an all day event, but officially goes on Saturday, July 3rd  5pm until 10pm

There will lots of events leading up to the firework show, including bounce houses,a live DJ and bands, a washers tournament, food trucks, and more. This event is free to the public.

The fireworks will be fired into the night sky by MPA Fireworks, LLC and is corradiated by the Nacogdoches Jaycees. All of this is made possible by the Badders Law Firm.

If you're in Lufkin there's an event for you on Sunday. You can attend the  Mike Love & Associates, LLC July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza put on in conjunction with the City Of Lufkin.

This one will be at the Ellen Trout Zoo, and it's got free admission as well. It all kicks off at 3pm and fireworks start at around 9pm. There will be all sorts of events going on there. Plus the zoo will be open normal hours.

There is always ton of vendors, and live music on the main stage. This is always a huge show, and brings people from all over East Texas.

Since the Covid 19 pandemic shut down both of these shows last year, I know we are all ready for some fireworks here in East Texas.

Either of the displays will be an experience, and a great way to celebrate our nation's independence.
