They bill themselves as the place in Nacogdoches to buy and sell used books. The owners are now getting closer to opening up the brick-and-mortar store, and things are happening fast.

Owner, Wendie Harris, realized we needed a place like Dallas-based chain Half Price Books and has taken the initiative to make it happen. We now have a Grand Opening date and a location to share.

Dead Tree Dreams will be right next to Giddy Up Glamor in the old Mad Kitty Media building at 115 North Street in Nacogdoches. I drive right past there all the time, so this is perfect.

If you are already building up a stack of books that you want to resell, they will start buying books on January 10, 2023 at the location by appointment. Then they will open to the buying public on January 31, 2023.

The store is already filling up with books box by box, but they still need your books to get fully stocked ahead of the opening. If you need to sell some books now you can call them at 936-207-2510.

Once the store is open, you will stay in the store until they make you an offer on your books. Until then they are making accommodations for their customers.
