Are you usually the last person in line bending over a huge bin of pumpkins at a big box store? You know the drill, it's 2 weeks till Halloween and you still haven't gotten that pumpkin carved. There you are sorting though the soft spotted, bumpy, irregular pumpkins, and wishing you had started earlier. I feel your pain. We let Covid take so many traditions and things from us, but I am not going to let any of that happen this year.

There are usually lots of pumpkin patches in Deep East Texas, but they are in out of the way places. This year the Angelina County Farmers Market Pumpkin selection is going to be great. From huge to small they will have them all. It's a plus that they are located right outside the loop in Lufkin down from Cafe' Del Rio.

They aren't there yet, but they will be starting Wednesday September 23rd at 9am. They always have a wide selection of colors and types. If you don't wait till the last minute, it's really amazing to have options. The Angelina County Farmers Market is open Wednesday-Saturday from 9am - 4pm.

That next Saturday  - September 26th,2020 at 9am the Angelina County Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch opens up. There will be free photo displays and photo ops for those fall pictures with the kids.

New managers Tommy and Lynn Marie Bryan have made some amazing improvements to the Angelina County Farmers Market. If you haven't been in a long time, things have changed a lot, and it would be a great opportunity to get back into the habit.
