Angelina College Invites East Texans to Campus for ‘Rowdy Week’

Angelina College is hosting the first annual Rowdy Week this week October 6 through 9. The purpose of Rowdy Week is to showcase the many different programs and services available at Angelina College. This Wednesday through Friday high schools have been invited to join AC's Prospective Students Preview where students will participate in an Academic & Career Fair, Support Services Fair, and  Self Inventory and Career Assessment.

There are two huge events that are open to the community:

Noche Bilingue, Thursday, Oct. 7th, 5:30-7:30 in the Auxiliary Gym.

The first 200 guests receive a FREE t-shirt and Pizza. There will be an Academic & Career Fair, opportunities to learn more about the support services, Kids' games, and more!

Rowdy Saturday, Saturday, Oct.9th, 10 am-2 pm at Angelina College.

Saturday is a full day packed full of "Rowdy" fun including campus tours, an Academic & Career Fair, Food trucks, and a Kid Zone with a tie-dye station.

There will also be a softball game at 11 am and Angelina's Got Talent at 6:30 pm in Angelina's Center for the Arts.

Local companies (Onshore Outsourcing, Darling ingredients, Brookshire Brothers, Tri-County Community Action Agency, and Pilgrims pride Nac) will be onsite at the Academic & Career Fair.

Here's a rundown of events and features on Rowdy Saturday:

COFFEE ON CAMPUS 10 – 10:30 a.m. | Temple Theater Meet with Angelina College leadership, ask questions and learn more about AC.

CAMPUS TOURS 11 a.m. | Noon | 1 p.m. | Student Center Join in a campus tour, learning more about the programs offered and where classes take place.

ROADRUNNER SOFTBALL GAME 11 a.m. | Larry Phillips Complex Cheer for your ‘Runners as they face off against Nitro 18U.

THE AC OVERVIEW 11:30 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. | 1:30 p.m. | Hudgins Hall Watch a prerecorded video going over Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, a glimpse at student life and a few testimonial videos. The AC Overview should get everyone excited about becoming a roadrunner as well as leaving guests walking away feeling equipped to begin!

THE ACADEMIC FAIR 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Auxiliary Gym Our career fields and pathways have set up information booths to teach you more about the many programs available at Angelina College. Take control of your schedule and create the experience you desire at Rowdy Weekend.

SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES FAIR 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Cafeteria Visit for more information over Financial Aid, Academic Support, Disability Services and Accommodations, Student life, Residency Life and more.

ROWDY’S KIDS ZONE 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Library Lawn Bounce houses, games, and tie dye! Stop by for some fun with Rowdy and grab a picture or two.

FOOD TRUCK FEST 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Administration Circle Head to the front of campus and enjoy some of East Texas’ favorite food truck eats. Sit with AC leadership for more questions and answers or just to get to know the hearts behind your community college.
