We all have our list of "must see" Christmas movies, and mine doesn't differ too much from any other top 10 list of Christmas flicks. I really just love to laugh during the holidays and if you to, you'll like my list of holiday favorites.

The best way to watch these is to organically catch them on TV, but sometimes you've got to pull some strings and bust out the old Blu ray player.

Honorable mentions are The Santa Claus, Gremlins, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and Scrooged. Honestly, none of these are in any particular order. Honestly it depends on my moods leading up to Christmas.

  • Elf

When Buddy the Elf shouts "It's Santa...I know him!" You know Christmas time is truly here.  I remember seeing this movie when it first came out in theaters. I am a fan of Will Ferrell and this one has real staying power.

  • A Christmas Story

"You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!" "It's a major award!" Just one movie having so many quotes and memorable moments, makes it the holiday gold standard. TBS shows it over and over on Christmas, so catch it if you've never seen it.

  • Die Hard

It's not Christmas until I see Hans Gruber fall out of the Nakatomi Plaza. Period.

  • Home Alone

A lot of my favorites really have nothing to do with Santa, but rather loveable characters trying to make it through the holidays. Merry Christmas, Ya filthy animals.

  • Jingle All The Way

As a dad myself, I understand Schwarzenegger's struggle in this movie all too well. This movie was perfectly cast to show that no matter how tough you are, you can still be defeated by the holidays.
