Pray For Lufkin Responders In Kerrville
A City of Lufkin Fire Department Ambulance is currently on assignment in Kerrville. The state of Texas has directed the Emergency Medical Task Force to do a crew swap in the area and these brave men did just that.
Lufkin Firefighters Savage and May started this, their most recent assignment, on July 19th. They are replacing a crew that was providing EMS protection to the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Task Forces.
They are now supporting local EMS systems and joining the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) crews to provide 911 coverage for local responders while they recover. According to the Lufkin Fire Department, they aren't the only local crew helping this area devastated by flooding.
