D. Vincent Williams will be performing this Sunday at 58 Junction in Lufkin at 2 p.m. The Lufkin singer/songwriter has penned numerous songs through the past two decades and in total they have sold over 45 million records.  His songs have been recorded by the likes of Rascal Flatts, James Otto, Ty Herndon, Diamond Rio, Mark Wills, Neal McCoy, John Michael Montgomery, Keith Harling, Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap, Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan, Jimmy Wayne, Lee Ann Womack, Terri Clark, Michael Bolton, Emily West, Ricky Skaggs, John Berry, as well as his biggest musical influence, Steve Wariner.

In 2003, D. Vincent William's song I'm Movin' On won the Academy of Country Music's Song of the Year award.  It was performed by Rascal Flatts.

In 2008, James Otto recorded William's 'Just Got Started Lovin' You' and it became the most played song on country radio for the year.

In 1999, D. Vincent Williams had his first top 5 Country hit with Ty Herndon's recording of 'Hands of a Working Man' which Williams co-wrote with Nacogdoches native Jim Collins.

Williams appeared on the Merrell in the Morning Show on KICKS 105 this past Thursday to talk about the event.  Joining him on the show was Joe Morales.  Williams and Morales are teaming up to launch a Tamale Joes Restaurant in Nashville.  Morales himself will be the face of the enterprise as can be sees in the photo below.
