There are so many things to do at the 'Mike Love and Associates Law Firm 4th Of July Fireworks Extravaganza,' but what do I love about it?

If you ever wonder where I am on the 4th of July, it's always Ellen Trout Park in Lufkin. This is the 12th year of this event. Yes 12 years ago Mike Love and his team brought back fireworks to Lufkin, and we have been thanking him ever since.

    Ellen Trout Zoo

This has to be on the list, because this is my zoo. This is your zoo, and on the 4th of July, it's business as usual at this amazing East Texas landmark attraction. This year they are celebrating their 50th Anniversary.

    Z&OO Railroad

Last year, there were a few unhappy kids, as the train was broken down. Now we have this brand new train, made right here in Lufkin. All aboard! It's a great way to cool off with a nice breeze and see the entire park.

    Food

Anything and everything on a stick, will be waiting for you at the Mike Love and Associates Law Firm City of Lufkin Fireworks. The fair style food and tons of vendors will be out there for you to enjoy. I need a pork kabob and funnel cake now.

    Fireworks

This is the best fireworks show in East Texas. Even if you were to go to a show in a big city, you will never be this up close and personal with the fireworks, so it's really an unmatched experience. The Mike Love and Associates Fireworks crew do an amazing job every year firing the show off, choreographed to the music here on K-Fox 955.  Show starts at dark, usually 9:15 - 9:30pm.
