Nacogdoches To Get New Buffet-Style Restaurant
Everyone loves a good buffet. There is just something about loading up a plate you designed and chowing down.
I've visited many buffets, and after my trip to the food bar, everything on the plate would be yellow. That could be because most of my plate was corn nuggets.
If you are also a fan of the buffet a new one is coming to Nacogdoches. The Country Kettle Buffet is the name, and the location might be familiar.
New Buffet Going In At The "Little" Kroger Strip On University
I haven't been to the "little" Kroger on University Drive recently, usually opting for the big Kroger on North Street.
If I had, I might have noticed the signs up all around the end of the building that proudly read Country Kettle Buffet Coming Soon. Over the years 3205 North University Drive Suite S has held several different now defunct restaurants.
You might remember the Union Cafe or Sidelines Sports Bar being in that spot. Most recently it was Good Bites & Grill and it closed for good near the end of 2023.
New Restaurant Coming To Nacogdoches Soon
Though we do not have an open date, things seem to be happening inside and out. The business is registered to Sergio Rodriquez from Nacogdoches.

The name certainly evokes a good feeling as the very first Kettle restaurant was opened by founder Harry Chamber Sr. and his brother Danny in Nacogdoches in 1968.

The chain grew to over 265 locations concentrated in the Southern U.S. from Florida to New Mexico. As of April 2024, this 24-hour eatery only has 3 locations remaining: 1 in Arizona and 2 in Texas.
