Pre-Burn Those Thanksgiving Calories In Nacogdoches, Texas

If you want your Santa suit to fit just right this year, you might want to look into this event. The Pilgrims Turkey Trot 5K is coming on Thursday, November 24, 2022 aka Thanksgiving Day in Nacogdoches.

Running a 5K once you already ate Thanksgiving dinner just doesn't make much sense, so they do it that morning. You'll still have plenty of time to sit on the couch and watch the game after lunch.

Not only are you going to work off some of the calories, but you will also be supporting the Nacogdoches Area United Way. They are hoping to make an impact in the community with their 13th Annual Turkey Trot.

Before the 5K they are bringing back the Free Jaycees Kids 1K run for those little turkeys 10 and under starting at 8 am and ending at 8:30 am. Thanks to the Nacogdoches Jaycees, the event is offered at no charge for the youth of Nacogdoches.

The 5k starts at Pecan Acres Park at 8:30 am and ends at the same place at 11 am. You can sign-up until 9 am the day of at the event, but you can also plan ahead of time and CLICK HERE.
