Shamrock Shuffle at Slack Elementry = Shufflin’ Good Time!

Spent this morning at Slack Elementary in Lufkin spinning some tunes for the 3rd, 4th and 5th, graders participating in the Shamrock Shuffle.

It was a fund raiser for the school and it was nice to see the kids getting active for a good cause, their own!  Parents came out in force to man concession booths and root on their kids in the run.  Even a few of the coaches got in on the run.The bilingual curriculum at Slack is amazing, and it really is a great place to learn and grow.

Special thanks to the Slack PTA, Peltier Chevrolet, McDonalds and the other sponsors that made this a great event.  Top runners got trophies and metals, and top fundraisers got bikes from Academy.   Thanks to Natalie Thornton for the pictures!  This was definitely a fun way to start spring break!
