The Pitser-Garrison Convention center is turning into an unconventional pop-up drive in movie theater. Their North side parking lot is pretty large, and that side of the building is windowless and perfect for the purpose. They will be showing their first movie 'The Goonies' there on Friday, February 26th at 7pm. Tickets are just $20 a vehicle, and that seems in line with what others have been charging. There were 'vote' comments that expressed desire to see all of the movies, but the aforementioned 'The Goonies' won. If you want a say in what the next movie is, you could follow the Visit Lufkin page on facebook.

In the car, you can text, have your phone out. Shout to your kids in the back seat. There is a lot of freedom as to what you can do in your own car. People even set up in the back of their trucks with their lawn chairs. You can enjoy time at the movies with your friends and family while still being socially distant.  At this point, it doesn't matter what it is. We just need somewhere to go and something to look forward too.
