It was a rainy Tuesday, but that didn't stop the Family Crisis Center from holding their "Walk A Mile In her Shoes" event today at Angelina College

It's Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and there are still lots of events to go. But today it was time for some guys to put on women's shoes and get to stepping. Since it was raining they took it into the gym.

This men's march against violence was well attended despite the rain. They were planning to walk outside in the shoes but today the gym had to do.
This is the second year in a row that we have attended this event, and it is always great for raising awareness.

But don't miss out on the rest of the events this month with the Family Crisis center. Denim Day is Wednesday, April 26th. Wearing jeans on Denim Day has become a visual symbol of protest against the common misconceptions that surround sexual assault.  So millions of supporters around the country are expected to participate by wearing jeans on Denim Day.

There will also be a screen of the award-winning documentary "The Hunting Ground" at Hudgins Hall at Angelina College. Join them there to see the film at 6:30pm on Wednesday April 26. It's a movie about the sexual assault survivors from college campuses.
