Crown Colony Family Safe After Massive Housefire In Lufkin, Texas
Saturday morning while the rest of us were just getting up and around, a Lufkin family was displaced after a house fire. The call came in to dispatch at 8:53 am.
The caller stated there was a garage fire on Baltusrol Court in the Crown Colony subdivision. Once firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the entire home heavily involved in flames.
Dark smoke billowed out of the home as trucks set up to fight the fire. The family had escaped the blaze unharmed before police and fire arrived.
Lufkin Fire Department Quickly Extinguished Crown Colony Housefire
The firefighters quickly took out the largest flames and fought smaller fires in the structure. Smaller flare-ups continued to pop up throughout the rest of the morning.
As of today at 11:45 am firefighters were still monitoring the home for hot spots.
Home And Vehicles In The Garage A Total Loss In Crown Colony Housefire
There were two vehicles in the garage at the time of the fire. The home and the two vehicles were said to likely be a total loss by the Lufkin Fire Department.
Luckily their quick response kept any of the surrounding homes from being affected. They also mentioned that the family does have insurance.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time. The Lufkin Fire Marshal's office will continue to investigate. The Lufkin Police Department provided traffic control in the area.
