MAKE a Divine Cilantro Lime Shrimp Marinade for the Gods [RECIPE]
I love to cook and for the past few weeks, I have been wanting to barbecue some shrimp.
I saw a video on the YouTubes for Cilantro Lime Marinade. The bright lime green color of the marinade on the shrimp just ap-PEELED to me, so last weekend, finally made up my mind and got up the nerve to try out the recipe.
I hopped in the car, drove to the grocery store, put on my face mask and headed straight for the produce section to gather up all my goodies for the marinade.
I went to a social distance barbecue and my friend did all the grilling, but I had already let the shrimp marinade for about 45 minutes.
Here's what I used to make the Cilantro Lime Shrimp Marinade. Warning: I did not measure anything out, I just stuffed the blender with all my ingredients and hoped for the best.
I used: a whole thing of cilantro, about 3 green onions, cumin, paprika, smoked paprika, lemon juice from the little tub thing you buy at the store, freshly squeezed lime juice, salt, a little bit of red onions, pepper, olive oil.
Put everything in a blender and hit the liquefy button for about 2-3 minutes.
After you are satisfied with the look of your marinade, pour it over your shrimp in a bowl (glass bowl, plastic bowl, Tupperware bowl with the old spaghetti stains on it, it doesn't matter) and let the shrimp get comfy-cozy with the marinade in the fridge for a good 30 minutes to an hour.
Next, slide 4 of those shrimp thangs on a skewer and bbq them over the grill.
VOILA! Make this recipe. I call it "Divine Cilantro Lime Shrimp for the Gawds", as the kids say!
But my secret ingredient: Everglades All-Purpose Seasoning from some folks down in Florida. Get yourself some of that and spice up your life!
