According to the Daily Sentinel, a 9-year-old student of Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary School is in stable condition after a hit-and-run in Nacogdoches, Texas. The child was walking to school in the 2100 Block of Looneyville Road at around 7:30 AM on May 16, 2024.

A white SUV hit the student about a half mile from the school. After hitting the child the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The student was treated for multiple fractures on the scene and transported by EMS to the hospital after the auto-pedestrian accident. The Nacogdoches Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has been trying to locate the driver and the vehicle for almost a week.

Update On NPD Hit-And-Run Investigation Has Promise

According to a recent update on their Facebook page, investigators with the Nacogdoches Police Department have been working diligently to locate the person responsible for the crash. They also think they have located the vehicle and the driver.

No arrests have been made yet in the case. If there is an arrest made, we will update that information here.
