Big Rigs Fill The Brick Streets Of Downtown Nacogdoches
Right now there are hundreds of big rigs converging on our city. They are usually on the way to bring goods and services to our area, but this time they are the entertainment.
The 3rd Annual Old Town Rig Down is coming to Nacogdoches, Texas this Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14, 2024. The staging lot is already filling up with trucks from all over the country.
Owners are prepping their rides now for the truck show starting at noon on Friday. Tomorrow at 7 AM they will all start their journey to the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches, where they will remain for the rest of the event.
Massey Rose Foundation Puts On An Amazing Event In Nacogdoches
The Old Town Rig Down is a free event organized by the Massey Rose Foundation. This event is a fundraiser that does a lot of good in our community.
They always donate 100 percent of the net proceeds from the event. The 2023 Old Town Rig Down raised $287,000 and awarded it to these local charitable organizations:
- Casa of Deep East Texas
- Christ Episcopal
- Harold’s House
- Nacogdoches Hero Foundation
- Keep Nac Beautiful
- Nacogdoches Education Foundation
- Boys and Girls Club of Nacogdoches
Big Name Music Acts In Downtown Nacogdoches
There will be all kinds of amazing vendors and food trucks at the event so you can stay, eat, and enjoy the live entertainment. Friday night the J.Dalton Band starts at 7:30 PM and Tony Justice at 9 PM.
