If you have struggled to find plants that thrive in your garden, it may not be them, but could be you. Sometimes we plant what we like without wondering if they will live.

The first step to making the right decisions on what to put in your garden starts with great information. There is an event coming up in Lufkin that can help you make the right decision.

The Master Gardeners of Angelina County along with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension are having a plant sale at the Angelina County Farmers Market located at 2107 S. Medford Drive in Lufkin.

Plant Sale At The Angelina County Farmers Market

Stop by the Farmers Market past Del Rio on the Loop in Lufkin on March 29, 2025 starting at 8 AM until they sell out. Bring your wagon and fill it up with all kinds of native plants that are specially adapted to our area.

The sale will feature Perennials, Pollinators, Roses, Berries, and more. They are taking cash or check payments only at this event.

The best part about buying from this sale is the invaluable advice from local master gardeners about your specific application for each plant. Native plants are adapted to our local area and require less fertilizer and water.

Native Plants Thrive When You Pick The Right Ones

They also create an ecosystem that provides food and shelter for butterflies and birds. Native species of plants also help prevent soil erosion.
