Standouts from Lufkin Band, Huntington Highsteppers Recognized

High school football season is underway, and that means the Friday Night Frenzy scoreboard show is in full swing.  Every Friday night from 9 pm to 11 pm, J.P. Heath and Kent Havard bring you the latest happenings and scores from around the East Texas gridirons.

Once again this year, we've teamed up with VeraBank to highlight some of the outstanding drill team and band members in the area.  Our latest standouts include the officers of the Huntington Highsteppers Drill Team.  They include Captain Nevaeh Davis, Co-Captain Shalyn Hadnot, Co-Captain Jenna Hughes, Lieutenant Ali Crustner and Lieutenant Sadie Felts.  The Highstepper officers have set goals for the year and are doing a fabulous job preparing the team for this 2019 football season!

Representing Lufkin High School for our band members of the week are Madison Davis – senior flute and piccolo player, section leader, and uniform crew member, as well as Amir Agent – senior trumpet player, band historian, and uniform crew member.
