
20 Felony Arrests In Angelina County May 5 – May 11
There were 20 felony arrests in Angelina County during the week of Sunday, May 5th - Sunday, May 11th. All the people booked into the jail are considered innocent until proven guilty.
The amount of felony arrests was the same as the previous week Sunday, April 28th - Saturday, May 4th. This week the charges ranged from more low-level traffic possession charges to murder with multiple $1 million bonds.
Drug possession won out as the most committed crime. 9 of the 20 felony offenders were put in the Angelina County Jail for controlled substances.

After months of studying the arrests in Angelina County, driving around with meth or any other controlled substance seems to be a bad idea. Lufkin Police Department, DPS Angelina County, and the Angelina County Sheriff's Office all made these types of arrests during the week.
More often than not, they will check for drugs if you get pulled over in the area.
Two Teenagers Arrested For Felonies In Angelina County This Week
There were two teenagers arrested for felonies in Angelina County. 17-year-old Dustin Reeves was arrested for continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony. He was also arrested for prohibited sexual conduct, a third-degree felony.
18-year-old Francisco Garcia was arrested for aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. His bond has been set at $500,000 due to a previous arrest and this parole violation.

Garcia already had a juvenile record, and that counted against him heavily.
