Last month officers and deputies in Angelina County made many arrests for various reasons—everything from a simple misdemeanor to first-degree felonies.

Arrests of Interest In July In Lufkin, Texas
The Angelina County Jail houses inmates arrested from police departments all over the county. This is where ACSO (Angelina County Sheriff's Office), Diboll PD, Lufkin PD, DPS, and U.S. Marshalls all house citizens that they arrest.
There are over 263 inmates in the Angelina County Jail. Many of which were just added in the past couple of days.
Ross Stormer, 38, of Zavalla, was arrested after a high-speed pursuit this week. You can see the pursuit in the video below.
Felony Theft Arrest Of Janitor In Lufkin
The Lufkin Police Department arrested Daniel Bernard, 46, of Lufkin, on a felony theft warrant. Daniel was taken into custody Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10 AM at the Colony Apartments.
The arrest came after a lengthy investigation into an incident last year where he stole more than 100 valuable fountain pens from a client's collection while working for a cleaning crew. The collection was estimated to be worth more than $300K.
Detectives' investigation led to Daniel after he sold the stolen items to pen dealers. They collected evidence from those exchanges that led to a warrant for his arrest.
The pens sold to the dealers have been recovered.
