See These 3 Nacogdoches, Texas Main Street Makeovers

Driving down the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches, Texas you might notice that some of the businesses stand out more than usual. That could be because of the new Main Street Beautification Grants recently going out.
Downtown businesses are applying for grants on a first come first serve basis for specific projects up to $1,500 per property. The funds are earmarked for things that are visibly noticeable on the front or back of the property.
These grants are available to businesses within the Downtown Historic District. If you know a property or business owner downtown that is interested in applying for one of these grants they can contact the Main Street Office for more information.
Here is a list of projects this grant money could be used for.
- Exterior paint
- Awning repairs
- Signs
- Structure cleaning
- Landscaping
If your building is in the Downtown Nacogdoches Historic District you should apply. The Main Street Beautification Grant was created by the Main Street Advisory Board with approval from the Nacogdoches City Council on August 16, 2022.
So far six grants have been given out and over six thousand dollars has been awarded.
