3 Arrested In Nacogdoches County For Car Theft
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office and Nacogdoches Police Department arrests for January 11th - 17th, 2025 included three people with a charge of "Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle". These appear to be unrelated events, and three is a lot when you consider there were only 9 felony arrests during the week.
The charge of "Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle" is a little misleading. It makes me think of a scenario where a friend of yours loaned you their vehicle in the past, but you forgot to ask for permission this one time.

In Texas that is code for stealing cars, and much like horse theft, it is treated as a felony-level crime to curtail this type of behavior. You can find their photos and a full list of charges in the gallery of this week's felony arrests below.
