Lufkin, TX Woman Behind Bars For 2023 Attempted Murder

According to the Angelina County Jail arrest records, Breanne Guzman is back behind bars. She has a long list of current felony charges, all with a $250,000 bond, amounting to approximately 1.75 million dollars.

The charges stem from a Jan 17, 2023 shooting in a Lufkin home off of Spring Lake Drive. Breanne Guzman, 38 at the time, now 40, was arrested by the Angelina County Sheriff's Office after responding to a disturbance.

When deputies arrived there was one gunshot victim that was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. He was shot in the torso.

A second victim was shot, but not seriously injured.  She was taken into custody on unrelated charges and has had at least 3 other arrests in the past 10 years.

Breanne Guzman Arrested Multiple Times Before And After Attempted Murder Charges

According to the Lufkin Daily News on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, then 28 and living in Hudson, Breanne Guzman was arrested with an accomplice after walking out of a store in the Lufkin Mall with $114 worth of clothes.

She was released the same day on a $1,500 bond. In 2015 when Guzman was 30, she was arrested and taken to the Angelina County Jail for failure to identify, possession of a controlled substance, and failure to appear warrants.

The next entry pops up after her alleged attempted murder arrest in 2023. In October of 2024, she was arrested for possession of less than 28 grams of a penalty group 3 controlled substance and possession of less than 1 gram of a penalty group 1 controlled substance.
