
Nacogdoches Murder Suspect Arrested For Teen Killing
Murders have been a real issue in Nacogdoches so far in 2025. Although they have had three this year, now they have a suspect behind bars for each one.

At the end of April, we told you about Jermiah Jarmma Warren, 19, of Nacogdoches. He was tragically found dead in a wooded area behind the Summit Living Orton Hill Apartment Homes, formerly known as Eastwood Terrace.
Police were originally alerted to a possible issue on Old Woden Road when residents phoned police after hearing gunshots near the apartment complex on the southeast side of Nacogdoches.
Resolution Pending For The Family Of Murdered Nacogdoches Teen
According to KTRE, Nacogdoches Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder. Rakeem Keshawn Rocquemore, 23, of Nacogdoches, was arrested on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Sergeant Brett Ayers confirmed the arrest was connected with the murder. Rocquemore was taken calmly into custody in the 1100 block of South University Drive.
He has been charged with murder, a first-degree felony charge. The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office must think he is a strong flight risk.
Weeks-Long Murder Investigation In Nacogdoches Gets Results
They have set his bond at one million dollars. An indictment says that Rocquemore wasn't intending to hit the victim, and that this was an accidental shooting.

It stated Rocquemore fired a gun in the direction of an individual, causing Warren's death. It goes on to say that Rocquemore shot Warren in the course of another felony, described only as deadly conduct.
