Dog Run At Ellen Trout Park In Lufkin For A Good Cause
Mystyk's Helping Paw is based in Lufkin and works to get animals in shelters to their forever homes. Shea Davison champions the cause with a Facebook page that works "to help parents of fuzzy, scaled, other, and human children".
She is using this cause page to make transportation and other needs happen. Davidson is a big advocate of fostering animals in shelters.
In a recent Facebook Live, Davidson outlined her reason for the cause.
"When you become a foster parent for an animal, that leaves more room in the shelters, making more room reduces the number of animals put to sleep in Texas every year."
Event Coming To Raise Funds For Animal Transport
The First Ever Zoo Doggy Run is Saturday, March 30, 2024 and starts at 10 AM. Bring your dog to walk or run the 1.1-mile nature trail circle at Ellen Trout Park.
A $5 donation to the cause is encouraged. The funds will go toward raising awareness and rescue transport.
